In our mission to ever elevate your dining experience, Fish Restaurant is refreshing and expanding.

The staff of Fish will take a well-deserved summer vacation beginning Monday, June 16, 2008 and undergo its first expansion since opening in 2000.

Fish’s original designer, architect Reggie Gibson, of Gibson, Thompson, Guess, returns for this expansion.

What's happening?

The existing, enigmatic purple heart wood bar will triple in size incorporating antiqued mirrors and stainless steel accents.

Surrounding the bar, high tables offer in-bar dining.

The new dining room will move into the first floor of 440 King Street and will echo many of the design elements of the bar.

Reclaimed cherry tables blend with large mirrors, creative lighting and textures combine to create a stylish, warm and inviting space.

Housed in a beautifully renovated, 1837 Charleston single-style home in the heart of the Upper King Design District, Fish has been a mainstay on the Charleston dining scene since 2000. Executive Chef Nico Romo has created a French-Asian experience unlike anything else in the Holy City. The goal: to create great food and great community by reimagining French and Asian dishes, techniques and flavors and using seafood and products that are seasonal, fresh and local, whenever possible.
